Physical Plant Division

PLANNING & cONTROL sECTION

This section is responsible for the administration and management of human and financial resources of the division. Assists the Director in the day-to-day activities of the office; develops policies, procedures, and systems which ensure productive and efficient office operation. Serves as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and institutions on operational and programmatic matters concerning the division. The section provides administrative support to the director and the four sections of the division (AES, IMS, SC and MPS).

Architectural, Engineering and Design Section (AEDS)

This section is responsible for the implementation and integration of planning, designing, construction of buildings, grounds development, drainage system, lighting facilities and other campus facilities that require architectural and engineering services. The section monitor, review and oversee all planning, designing and construction activities in the campus that are reflected in the campus development plan.

cONSTRUCTION Section (cs)

This section is responsible in preparation of timetable, S-curve, and Statement of Work Accomplishment (SWA) Report. Supervision of the different construction /renovation/ improvement of the institute, checking and monitoring the quality progress of work for adequacy and compliance with the project's specifications and contract. Conduct orientation/coordination meeting with end-user and contractor together with the inspectorate team and discuss the scope of work to be undertaken, establishment of house rules and other related concerns with regard to the projects. Coordinate with the Planning and Control Section regarding the billing requirements of the contractors. Conduct contractors’ performance evaluation with the inspectorate team and consolidate for reportorial purposes.

MOTORPOOL SECTION

This section is responsible for the inventory, allocation, assignment, and maintenance of all campus official vehicles; coordination and monitoring of gasoline consumption to the various units of the campus.

Repairs & Maintenance Section (RAMS)

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of academic buildings, maintains the utility distribution system, and performs related services. A wide variety of skills and materials in metal working, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, masonry, and glazing services are available for departmental facilities and projects. The section is also responsible for the following: a) the supervision of janitorial and cleaning services in academic buildings, b) the replacement of light bulbs and tubes, and similar minor building maintenance, c) the maintenance of the campus grounds including all landscaping works, roads, sidewalks, directional traffic and informational signs and garbage and debris control, and d) the operation and maintenance of power and water supply to the campus.
